What does Botox do?
A: It restores desirable facial qualities.
• Rested
• Relaxed
• Harmonious
Where does Botox work?
A: On facial lines like:
• Vertical Lines
– Between the Brows
– MeloLabial
– MeloMental
• Horizontal
– Across brow
– Eye corners
What is Botox?
It is a purified protein complex derived from the bacterium
Clostridium botulinum
How does Botox work?
A: It works by blocking transmission of acetylcholine impulses to injected muscles.
Who shouldn’t have Botox done?
A: People who had a prior allergic reaction or inflammation in the treatment area. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
What should I do after Botox?
A: After the injections, the patient should usually remain upright or semi upright on the exam table for about 2-5 minutes to make sure he or she feels good after the procedure. The patient should avoid lying down for 2-4 hours. If bruising is a concern, it will be important for the patient to avoid taking non-essential aspirin or related products, such as ibuprofen (eg, Advil) or naproxen (eg,Aleve) if possible after the procedure to keep bruising to a minimum
What should I expect after Botox?
A: Results will be evident within 1-10 days. Patient should understand that Botox does not actually erase lines but relaxes them.
