Deep Laser Resurfacing
What is Deep Laser Resurfacing?
This laser procedure removes the surface epidermis of skin in a precisely controlled fashion. The advanced Sciton laser allows Dr. Long to remove the old and damaged skin with minimal surrounding thermal damage. The more of the epidermis depth that is removed the more dramatic the results but also longer downtime.
How does the procedure work?
Once the the old and damaged epidermal layers are removed the skin responds by replacing the epidermal layer. The old disorganized photo-damaged epidermis is replaced by new layers of well organized epithelial cells.
