What is a Laser Neck Lift?
This is an advanced procedure which utilizes laser energy to deeply heat dermal collagen and remove fat. This process promotes the remodeling and contraction of collagen. The heat also initiates the body’s natural healing process, which creates renewed collagen foundation leading to increased skin firmness. After the neck skin and fat are treated the fat is removed through a tiny suction cannula. The procedure is done in the office with local anaesthesia, providing safety and comfort.
What is the treatment like?
Before the laser energy is delivered a local anaesthetic is applied. Next the skin is tightened and the fat is melted by a thin laser fiber as it is moved under the skin. Finally the fat removed using a thin suction cannula. The neck can typically be treated within two hours.

What is the down time?
The day after the procedure there may be some soreness and bruising and a neck garment is provided to keep the area tight. There can also be some fluid drainage at the site the laser entered the skin. Typically the downtime is three to five days but many people return to work the next day. Other than wearing the garment there is no special skin care is required following treatment.

Who is a candidate for this procedure?
The ideal candidate is reasonably fit, with localized pockets of fat. Dr. Long medically evaluates all patients prior to procedures.
How many treatments will I need?
Typically, only one treatment is required.
What are the benefits of Laser Neck Lift compared to traditional liposuction?
Faster recovery – typically a few days rather than weeks. Tighter skin – Your skin will feel and look tighter. It is also significantly safer and less expensive without the use of general anesthesia.
